|
| Q. |
Why the Heat? (Hint: To bend anything, you must add heat!) |
| A. |
- Heat allows for deep stretching because the muscles, fascia and connective tissue are more elastic.
- Warm temperatures allow for greater range of motion in the joints.
- Heat reduces chance of injury because muscles are warmed up.
- Stretching warm muscles burns fat more efficiently.
- Capillaries dialate, which increases oxygen flow to cells and promotes waste removal.
- Heat promote4s toxins to release from sweating through the body’s largest eliminative organ, the skin.

Is the order of the postures important? |
| A. |
Yes. Each posture stretches and strengthens specific muscles, ligaments and joints needed for the next posture. The Bikram method also stimulates the organs, glands, and nerves, moving fresh, oxygenated blood to 100 percent of the body and restoring all systems to a healthy working order.

| A. |
A minimum of 10 classes every 30 days is recommended. Your second class should be no more than 24 or 48 hours after your first class. |

| A. |
Unfortunately, no. All contracts are individual and can not be transferred. |
| |
|
| Q. |
Is the room germ free? |
| A. |
The room is cleaned and sanatized daily. We meet the highest possible standards. Yogis are encouraged to bring their own mat and towel from home. However, if a mat or towel is rented from our studio it is washed and sanatized after each rental. |

|
Q.
|
What is 10 class package expiration and why?
|
| A. |
Our
10 class package used to have a 30 day expiration because that is what Bikram
suggests as the absolute minimum for obtaining and maintaining the
benefits of the practice. A few years ago we changed it from 30 days
to 40 days to accommodate a definitive 2x per week practice. |

Q.
|
What if I go on Vacation?
|
A.
|
We
do not extend class cards for vacation. IF you buy a class card, the
best way to not skip a beat with your practice is to do 3 classes the
week before your vacation and 3 the week after. This not only keeps
your package current, but is good for you to stock up on the benefits
before you go and work out what built up when you return. Then you
will most likely find WOW what a difference 3xs a week makes versus 2!
When you practice 3 or more times per week, the best buy are the
unlimited packages. |
| |
|
Q.
|
How much sould I practice?
|
A.
|
The
more you practice in a condensed amount of time, the more benefits you
receive and you experience the results quicker! 2-3 times a week will
maintain the status quo. To make change, 3 or more times per week.
Ideally, a daily practice is the most effective and actually most
efficient. Your body and life work so much easier once you get into
the groove. However, a little yoga is better than none at all so get
it when you can!!! |
